1. B+W FILM PROCESSING

It must be over 12 years since i last hand processed a b+w film. Its been an interesting journey gathering together the relevant components from different parts of the world. It included white vinegar - as a stand in for Stop Bath & an odd looking 2 kg bag of crystals  (coming with no instructions) bought in downtown Saigon that i was told was fixer! I did a clip test first just to see if the dev time was correct, if the vinegar works - it does & if the fixer was what it purported to be - i think it is. Either way i think i’ll scan these negs asap to give them a bit of longevity. Its been a successful and satisfying day doing what i started out doing - getting my hands wet, making negatives to work from. This test is the fore runner for a project im about to shoot with RICE CREATIVE, the details of which will become clear in the months ahead…
